George Panicker (b.2000) is a practitioner originally from the city of Bangalore, India.
His perspective is primarily that of an artist and designer, but with
strong technical fluency and sufficient scientific vocabulary, specially when working with
electronic, computational and biological substrates.
Central to his practice is the question of 'stories' embedded within different kinds of new media,
how they operate
within the various spheres of the Earth System and what it specifically means to be able to
read, write, tell and interpret them, especially in the context of the
Noosphere and Biosphere. His broader aim is to flesh out a truly hybrid practice that can move
between realms and which represents a truly conclusive integration of art-engineering and design-science.
Doing so may provide the medium necessary to answer certain national questions that have proven elusive
till date.
Hobbies include reading Deleuze, making computer art and music, birdwatching,
sketching the outdoors with pen and ink as well as collecting vintage books.
